Year 3 Welcome to Year 3

Our class teacher for the 2023/24 academic year is Mr Gooding. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Poole and Miss Marland.

In Year 3, we cover many exciting topics to enhance children’s knowledge and understanding in-line with The National Curriculum 2014.  British Values also underpin our curriculum.

Our key topic areas this year are:

Autumn Term 1: Who first lived in Britain? 

Autumn Term 2 : How are mountains formed? 

Spring Term 1: What did the Ancient Greeks for us?

Spring Term 2: Who lives in Antarctica?

Summer Term 1: What did the British women fight for?

Summer term 2: Why do people live near volcanoes? 

PE

We will have our PE lessons on a Monday.  It is essential that children remember to bring their outdoor PE kit in on a weekly basis.

Homework

Homework will be given out on a Friday and needs to be returned to school by the following Tuesday.  Homework will include: English, Maths, Spelling, Spelling Shed, reading and Times Tables Rock Stars.
